This song is about coping with misunderstandings that will have no resolution. They can feel expansive, as if there was never such a thing as understanding. It is about acceptance, but we still maintain a hope that we can traverse this expanse. Maybe, if we keep trying, we can break through.
This release is part of a collection of original songwriting that has been accumulating and refining for over a decade. Themes of communication, conflict, and community are sincerely explored throughout these carefully crafted songs.
It is fair to say that I crafted these songs alone. I did write, perform, and record them independently. This collection was recorded off-the-grid in a little cabin up in the mountains surrounding Clear Lake, CA. Each song produced in this collection is intentionally sparse. The extra room made available in their sound is meant to invite participation from the listener. Link to preview stream

The single is a digital-only release at all of the typical spots. The collection of singles will eventually be offered on a limited run of lathe cut records from Fortune Ave Records. The entire collection will be sold digitally at Bandcamp
I will be performing this collection and other music live in the Sacramento, CA area, either solo or as a part of the music group Blue Collar Lullaby.
