Some origins best remain a mystery, but I feel the name artfully captures my character. Crafty, strange, and avoiding attention until you catch me in the act!

Three Armed Bandit is an unusual hybrid – a traditional performer and experimental improviser who is adept at a variety of musical skills. He is a Sacramento, CA based singer-songwriter at heart, playing in an Americana style whose solo performances are emotive and engaging. He also crafts live electronic music in a style he calls “electric crooner”.

His soulful songwriting and experimental creativity add up to a unique offering of styles for you to catch. The acoustic presentation utilizes a guitar and harmonicas accompanied by his baritone voice that holds audiences in thrall. At appropriate times, he will plug-in to use modular synths, effects, sequencers, and DJ techniques and create his novel sound that has no peers. At any time he will enjoy collaborating with others and experimenting with influences available in the moment.

Outside of his solo adventures he plays psychedelic Americana with the group 5 Wild Hares and blues for an annual Halloween event.

This bandit also makes moves behind the scenes to support other musicians. His live sound engineering recieves praise from performers and audiences alike. His studio mastering skill is sought after by his peers, such as Ninefingers, Out Yonder, and Four Eyed Whale. His participation in the community of local musicians spans from ephemeral impromptu jam sessions, to organizing shows, to repairing equipment. He is recognized in his community as a good hang and an encouraging spirit.
